The End

Revelation, which has a prophesied, definite, sign and time!

(For more details, see “The Mystery” later in this chapter.)

Unlike the rapture, the end day, defined by the Revelation

of Jesus Christ onto the earth at the Mount of Olives, can be

calculated with close precision. In Matthew and Mark’s day, no

one had known “the day or hour” of the Revelation (Matt.

24:36; Mark 13:32). This doesn’t mean that decades later

when the book of Revelation was unveiled, that people would

forever be in a dark veil about the date of Christ’s Revelation.

“People saved during the early part of the Tribulation will

have opportunity to study the Scriptures, hear the teaching of

the 144,000 (Rev. 7)

and exactly calculate the day Jesus will set

foot on the Mount of Olives

. For, from the time of the abomi-

nation of the future temple by the Antichrist (Matt. 24:15-22;

Mark 13:14; 2 Thess. 2:3-4; Dan. 9:24-27; 11:31; and 12:11),

it will be exactly 1,260 days until Jesus fulfills Zechariah 14:4

when He sets foot on the Mount of Olives on the East of Jeru-

salem.

It is certainly more difficult to find the time of the Revela-

tion of Christ the further the event is from the present. Unlike

the Rapture, the Revelation is a subject of Old Testament

prophecy. We would then expect to be able to glean infor-

mation, however veiled, which would shed light on the subject.
