We can now establish the time when God, in the person of
Christ, went back to His place and hid His face (Hosea 5:15);
also in Hosea 5:15, and Matthew 23:39, when He promised
that the Jews would not see him again until..… The time when
God left was 30 A.D., when He was crucified.
The place spoken of is none other than the New Jerusa-
lem—heaven.
“In my Father’s house are many rooms… I am
going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a
place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that
you also may be where I am”
(John 14:2-3).
This is the place where God/Christ dwells—The Father
tells the Son,
“The LORD says to my Lord: `Sit at my right
hand until I make your enemies a
footstool
for your
feet’”
(Psalm 110:1). To the Son he also says,
“Your throne, O
God, will last for ever and ever… Sit at my right hand until I
make your enemies a footstool for your feet”
(Heb. 1:3,13)
. 12We see here that God’s/Christ’s place is in heaven, to
which Christ ascended, and from which He has promised to
return.
ISRAEL’S RETURN TO THE LORD
Next, we need to examine the passage in Hosea 6:1 that
speaks of Israel’s return to the Lord for healing, to see when it
applies:
“Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to
pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind
up our wounds”
(Hosea 6:1).
12
Note here that the Father Himself shows us that the Son, Christ, is God.
