end will occur! Once the abomination is set up that causes
desolation (Dan. 12:11), it will lead directly to the end of this
age. According to Daniel 12:7, this is to be for a time, times,
and a half a time, or 3-1/2 years.
When Christ spoke of the end, He remarked that there
would be an abomination in the Temple (which has to be re-
built), and that it would cause desolation. This is the same
thing spoken of by Daniel. Christ instructed the people to flee
the area because the greatest of tribulations would begin (Matt.
24:15-16, 21). The people who flee (to a specially prepared
place) will be taken care of for 1,260 days (Rev. 12:6).
We now see that the end will come 1,260 days from the
abomination. Therefore, once this abomination is seen, anyone
can begin to put an “X” through each successive day on a cal-
endar, and do this exactly 1,260 times, until the Lord of Glory
appears at the Revelation.
Dates/Signs Are For The Jews
God has clearly given signs to His sign-needy people, the
Jews.
“Jews demand miraculous signs…”
(1 Cor 1:22). But, as
the Apostle Paul instructed the Church,
“We live by faith, not
by sight”
(2 Cor 5:7). The Messiah remarked,
“A wicked and
adulterous generation looks for a miraculous sign…”
(Matt.
16:4).
As time passes, evil grows. After the Church is raptured
(the translation of true believers to heaven), evil will no longer
be restrained (2 Thess. 2:7). All who are left on the earth at
that moment are evil. Among this wicked generation, God will
once again provide signs, and again, He will deal predominately
