The End

“On the morning of the third day there was thunder and

lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very

loud trumpet blast”

(Exod. 19:16).

A Glorious Cloud To Return

As we will see in chapter six, “HOW,” Exodus 19:16 typi-

fies the Revelation of God (Christ) on Mount Zion. This cloud

represents the believers of Christ who are in His tabernacle, the

New Jerusalem, and which cloud will cover all of Israel during

the Millennium, beginning on the morning of the third day.

Let’s examine the passages that show this.

The glory of the Lord that covered the mountain at Sinai

looked to the Israelites to be a fire (Exod. 24:18). This is the

same cloud by day and pillar of fire by night that led and pro-

tected the people of Israel (Exod. 13:21; Neh. 9:12). God

commanded a sanctuary to be made so that He could have a

place to dwell (tabernacle) among the Israelites (Exod. 25:8).

Until then, the glorious cloud by day and fire by night was His

dwelling place.

In the future, God will once again dwell in a glorious tab-

ernacle. Jerusalem will be a peaceful abode, a tent that will not

be moved (Isa. 33:20). The Lord tells us that in that day (the

Millennial Day, after the fiery judgement of the Tribulation) the

survivors will be recorded among the living (Isa. 4:2-4). He will

again employ a protective, sheltering cloud, as He did during

the wilderness wanderings.

“Then the LORD will create over all of Mount Zion and

over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a

glow of flaming fire by night; over all the glory will be a canopy.
