It appears that one place to which they flee may be Petra,
or Sela (Isa. 16:1-5).
25As in the wilderness, Christ will again
provide them with manna, for there is no other way to sustain
life in a desert. The fugitives will petition with the Lord’s Prayer
that Christ gave as an example:
“Give us today our daily bread
[Manna]
…”
(Matt. 6:11).
Feast Of Pentecost
The next feast is the Feast of Pentecost, which is fifty days
after the Barley Harvest. Many believe that this feast has been
completely fulfilled. If one examines this feast closely, he will
see that it has only been partially fulfilled. Not all that was spo-
ken of by Joel the Prophet was fulfilled at Pentecost, which oc-
curred 10 days after Christ’s ascension. What was seen ancient-
ly at the Revelation of God on Mt. Sinai (which was on the
same day as Pentecost)—the fire, the wind, and tongues—were
the same that were observed by those in attendance with Peter
the Apostle on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:2-3).
26However, the blood, fire, and billows of smoke; and the
sun and moon darkening (Joel 2:30-31; Acts 2:19; Rev 9:2-3)
were not seen. This happens in the middle and at the end of
the seven years of the Tribulation (The Week of Jacob’s Trou-
ble, yet in the future).
27Since today’s Church is a mystery and not the subject of
prophecy, and Pentecost is the prophesied Wheat Harvest,
25
Petra has a long, narrow entrance as the only way in, typical of a sheep-
fold or sheep pen.
26
Further, as the Law was inscribed on stone tablets through Moses, so the
Holy Spirit came to inscribe God’s laws on men’s hearts through Peter.
27
At these times, the sign seekers (the Jews) will see the signs they sought,
and were promised by their prophet Joel.
