Christ went there in their place. They go straight to Paradise to
be “at home with the Lord” (2 Cor. 5:8).
LAKE OF FIRE
The Antichrist king, known also as the Assyrian king, is
sent to Topheth, a special place within the Lake of Fire (Isa.
30:33). This is where the most abominable will go. “Topheth”
was a place in the valley of Hinnom where the most abomina-
ble idolatries were carried out. In this valley in southwest Jeru-
salem, the Israelites sacrificed their children by burning them
in a fire:
“The people of Israel and Judah have provoked me by
all the evil they have done; They built high places for Baal in
the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters
to Molech”
(Jer. 32:32, 35).
“They have built the high places of Topheth in the Valley of
Ben Hinnom to burn their sons and daughters in the fire;
something I did not command, nor did it enter my mind”
(Jer.
7:31).
It is in this same valley (before the end occurs) that God
will repay the Jews for this evil practice, when He fills the valley
with the dead of Israel to overflowing; where the birds and
beasts will devour (Jer. 7:32, 33).
At the end, the Antichrist and his false prophet are to be
suddenly snatched from the midst of the people which have
invaded Jerusalem and translated at unimaginable speed to the
Lake of Fire (Rev. 19:20). The Lake of Fire is not the same
place as Sheol or Hades. This is clear from the fact that those
