sword upon all who live on the earth,’ declares the Lord Al-
mighty. Now prophesy all these words against them and say to
them: ‘The LORD will roar from on high; he will thunder from
his holy dwelling and roar mightily against his land. He will
shout like those who tread the grapes, shout against all who
live on the earth. The tumult will resound to the ends of the
earth, for the Lord will bring charges against the nations; he
will bring judgment on all mankind and put the wicked to the
sword,’ declares the Lord”
(Jer. 25:29-31).
In the past, this referred to God’s judgement executed by
the then world ruler of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar. But as all
will soon see, a future world ruler of Babylon, the Antichrist,
will come, and a future judgement will encompass the earth.
(Israel’s future restoration will come after this fearful future
judgement.)
“‘In that day,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘I will break the
yoke off their necks and will tear off their bonds; no longer will
foreigners enslave them. Instead, they will serve the Lord their
God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them. I will
surely save you out of a distant place… Though I completely
destroy all the nations among which I scatter you, I will not
completely destroy you”
(Jer. 30:8, 9, 10, 11).
This worldwide judgement (among all the nations where
the Jews have been scattered) is to take place on “that day.”
This is yet future, attested to by the fact that King David will be
resurrected, as mentioned in the above portion of prophecy
(Jer. 30:9).
This future tribulation judgement is seen as covering a third
of the earth and a third of the sea (Rev. 8:7-8). The sixth trum-
