The End

From the Euphrates, four demons force the nations into a

mighty thrust of destruction, which leads to Armageddon. The

two hundred million demons captive under Iraq are released in

a final thrust of evil (Rev. 9:14-16). Later, the Antichrist hordes

opposing Israel melt away on their feet by instantaneous necro-

sis

as His glorious appearing, too terrible for words to de-

scribe, ends the war.

Messiah ultimately destroys the Antichrist by the splendor

of His coming (2 Thess. 2:8). This is accomplished quickly,

despite the fact that all the kings of the earth and their armies

are gathered together to make war against the King of Kings

and Lord or Lords. In a flash, the beast and his false prophet

are thrown into Gehenna

the Lake of Fire. The judgment—

the raging fire that consumes the enemies of God—has come

and the Christ of God sets up His government on David's

throne to rule the world in righteousness for one thousand

years (Rev. 20:4).

Upon His appearing with the hosts of Heaven, His new

Kingdom will be established in Jerusalem. The cataclysmic

events of His coming shake all that can be shaken. The cities

crumble and the rebuilt Babylon sinks out of sight and disap-

pears like Sodom of old. The successive kingdoms of this

world—Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Grecian, Roman, and the

yet future kingdoms—cease and Messiah opens His everlasting

Kingdom on the throne of David, headquartered in Jerusalem

where He rules from Zion (Isa. 24:23; Luke 1:32).
